I am The Fabulous Free Flying Fred
And I'll find my way out while you are in bed
Net to the left of me and to the right
All day I am quiet but not come the night
In the dark I am king and though you'll never think it
That food I ignore?...come the dusk I will drink it
Then bring all my strength and cunning to bear
On finding some hole - just the tiniest tear...
Yes! I'll be free! Round and round I can fly
Examining all with my diamond eye
Tour the front room on my wonderful wings
I don't care for the books and the shelves full of things
They're no more to me than a passable perch
I'll just have a rest then it's on with the search
Come morning they'll wonder "Oh where did he go?"
They'll fret and they'll worry but they'll never know
When I think of their puzzlement and their blank faces
How I will laugh at them from secret places
Then sneak out again just when ever I'm able
Nip to the kitchen and poo on the table
Yes life will be grand and they'll never catch me
Other moths try but they cannot match me
I am the first and the finest and best
No matter who follows they're just one of the rest
Hah! No chains could hold me, no prison cage
Truly the greatest moth of the age
Wait I'm slipping!..no purchase!..I've been such a mug
Hello can you hear me?...I'm stuck in this jug!
