I have just watched Countryfile on the telly with my friend Nick like we always do on a sunday and there was a very interesting bit on about a place in Ireland which is next door to England where we live and it is called Tory Island so I will tell you about what I saw. The first reason I though it was quite interesting was there was supposed to be a bunch of pirates lived there in Olden Days that are called The Bronze Age and they was led by Balor The Pirate and him and his troops had there own fort there for when they wasn't pirating although it just looks like grass now. The second thing I liked was that there is also a king who is in charge of the place although he did not look very kingy because he did not wear a crown or proper robes or anything but he did play the accordion and he was very jolly. The next thing was a wishing stone which if you made a wish and threw three more little stones on it and they all stayed on when they landed you could have your wish come true which sounds good but it looked like it was quite hard to do. Last of all there was a dog from the hotel that comes out every day to go for a swim in the sea and he has made friends with a dolphin that comes and swims with him which was quite a surprise I can tell you but they seemed like they both had a good time even if the dog looked very tired after. As you know I am not mad about dogs as a rule but this one looked alright even if he did shake all the sea off him all over the presenter man.
As it was so interesting I have found a link to a website for it which is here and my friend Nick said it looked like the island that was in Father Ted but do not listen to him because I thought it looked very nice and maybe one day we will visit Ireland and have a look.
