My friend Helen has got a bit of a war going on with the squirrels again and even the birds which she does not usually mind. She has tried all sorts of different things to keep them off her figs and her gooseberries and her peaches (there are about five this year and there was only one last year) so now she has hung all empty CDs from her computer up in all the bushes and trees in the garden and they make a very nice display I reckon but it does seem to be working and we have not seen any new holes in the figs yet. It is a bit distracting out of the window though when I am trying to watch Quincy!
