On the news they have always got things called reports which are stories that have happened and are not just made up but are by people who were not there at the time and only found out later but are interesting stories anyway. My friend Helen has told me about what she did on saturday night now when she went to a special kind of party and because it is interesting I am going to do a report and here it is.
I think it must have been special for Halloween although my friend Helen says it is going on for a while but it was at a place called a theatre which is a bit like the pictures only instead of on a screen the people are actually there and dressing up. Apparently the whole building had been all dressed up too with candles and smoke and paintings and scary music playing. Some of the rooms were like shops or hospitals and the people who are called actors was putting on a show in them and in one room they was giving out cloaks and masks! Some of the cloaks were black and some were red and the masks all had big noses on for some reason and my friend Helen got given a big black cloak with a hood and a white mask. Nobody knew who anyone else was and it was very confusing and in the dark she was a bit scared and a bit lost too and thought she might not be meant to go through some of the doors especially when she went through one and came out in a chimney place! Then there was another one where a lady was dressed as a nurse and screamed at her and threw water in her face which does not sound very nice and just when I was starting to get a bit jealous with all the masks and cloaks. The nurse lady made my friend Helen wash her hands too and made the water go all red and said she had the Red Death which was a bit rude in my opinion.
Luckily she found a room which was a music hall and they were playing all old music that is the kind she likes and there was a man to give her drinks too which cheered her right up so she stayed there for a long time.
In the end everyone had to go into a big hall and a man who was supposed to be DEATH came in wearing an even bigger cloak and when someone took off his mask the man disappeared and the cloak was empty! Then glitter fell on everybody and it was the end so everyone had a dance to some more music. There was some more things going on though and my friend Helen's friend Robyn who is from a place called Canada went in a tent that looked interesting but they stuck a big wart on her with blood coming out so she was not so happy about that but my friend Helen laughed :¬)
Nobody was allowed to keep their cloak or their mask which I think is a shame but I expect the people in the theatre wanted them. They sounded very nice and it sounded like a very interesting evening and that is the end of my report goodbye.
